110 dead, wounded in a Houthi failed attack in al-Hodeida

More than 50 Houthi militias were killed in repelling their major attack by the Joint Resistance Forces in al-Duraihemi area in al-Hodeida province, west Yemen on Saturday.

A military source said to Newsyemen that the militias tried to cut off the coastline in al-Duraihemi, but al-Zaraniq Brigade repelled the attack, causing the militias heavy losses.

The source said that the Houthi militias mobilized around 300 and involved them in the major attack in al-Duraihemi area, south al-Hodeida.

Around 50 Houthi fighters were killed in the battles that followed the attack, 60 others were injured, the source confirmed.  

The source added that eight of the joint resistance forces were killed in repelling the attack by the Houthi militias.
