Yemeni researcher Maher Rajeh won the gold medal at the 30th International Exhibition of Innovation, Innovation and Technology (ITEX 2019) organized by the Malaysian government with wide international participation.

Rajeh's ranked the top of the chemical engineering and biotechnology submitted by the researcher on behalf of the Malaya University under the motto "dissolved ionic liquids as environmentally friendly and multi-tasked solvents in the petrochemical, chemical and food industries."

The invention replaces expensive toxic organic solutions that may lead to cancer with new, environmentally friendly solutions at low prices so that these solutions can be used in various chemical industries.

This is the second gold award that has achieved by the inventor Maher Rajeh in a year. He won the first in February of this year for another invention in "The dissolved ionic fluid revolution and the ease of fusion in green or friendly chemistry".

"Participating in such scientific exhibitions is a great opportunity to exchange experiences among participants, and Yemen's participation  will benefit from the research development and industrial sectors in the future in Yemen ," said the researcher to Newsyemen.

The researcher called on the Yemeni government, embassy and cultural attaché in Malaysia to provide scholarships for the researchers  and support them so as to enhance the level of relations between universities and educational institutions in Yemen and educational institutions in the world, including Malaysia.

A Yemeni researcher Sami al-Alimi won the silver medal in the same exhibition in the field of mechanical industries for his innovation presented to the exhibition on "the development of industrial production technology for engineering materials used in the automotive industry."

"Innovation is the production of metals in the heavy industry through the integration of more than one production process in order to reduce the financial and labor costs, because they are easy to implement and sell them to productive companies," said Sami Al-Alimi.
