Bani Jabr tribe reveals heinous abuses inside Marib prisons

A statement attributed to the Bani Jabr tribe revealed that three members of the tribe belonging to the Popular Resistance were brutally tortured in the prisons of Marib province for months.

"Fayez Ahmed Saleh Al-Qahtani Al-Nasseri, Mashhour Mubarak Nasser Al-Nasseri and Mohanad Nasser Hussein Al-Nasseri" are all members of the Bani Jabr Morse Battalion who have been subjected to serious violations and various types of torture in the prisons of the security authorities in Marib after their arrest during this year.

The statement issued on Monday, on behalf of the sheikhs, leaders and members of the Bani Jabr tribe, pointed out that the three detainees were subjected to violating the religious right to pray, enforced disappearance for days, prohibiting visits for more than four months, verbal abuse and physical torture.

The statement reviewed the methods of torture suffered by the detainees, namely: beatings with whips, bangs and wires of electricity,and tie them with their hands behind them and hang them in the ceilings until the blood out of their eyes and noses, and beat them in sensitive areas until fainting and threatening using dril and saw so they do fingerprint on what they wrote to them, starve and prevent eating and drinking for tens of hours.

It pointed out that the detainees "today are being tried in a farcical trial in which the military prosecution and intelligence and the forces behind it cover up their failure to carry out their duties assigned to them, calling on the members of the tribe to take a serious stand against the violation
