On Sunday, the joint southern forces took control of a strategic camp for the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, in the Qatba district, in the Al-Dhale’ governorate, in the south of the country.

A military source said that the southern forces, backed by units of the Thunderbolt forces and the security belt, stormed and controlled the Al-Hasas camp north of the Qataba district.

It added that the control of the camp, which is the last stronghold of the Houthis in Qataba, came after the imposition of a siege imposed on it that lasted from yesterday evening Saturday, until late hours of Sunday morning.

The southern forces fought fierce battles with members of the Houthi militia, which was stationed inside the camp, ended in control and expelled the militia elements after incurring heavy losses.

Al-Hasahas camp is just one km away from Al-Fakher Market.
