At least one person was killed and 3 others wounded when a ballistic missile exploded after the Houthi militia failed to launch it from the northern Shamlan suburb, west of the capital, Sanaa, on Sunday evening, towards Marib.

According to eyewitnesses, the missile exploded during an attempt to launch it at 5 pm on Sunday, and the sound of the explosion was heard throughout the northern neighborhoods of the capital.

Violent battles took place between the army and Houthi militias, on Sunday, in Al-Jawf Governorate, in the northeast of the country.

The official website of the Yemeni army stated that the battles erupted after the coup militia attempted to infiltrate the army's positions in Aqaba, northeast of Al-Jawf.

The website stated that the army forces thwarted the militia’s attempt, and forced it to retreat and flee.

In this context, the fighters of the Alliance to Support the Legitimacy targeted reinforcements of the militias that were on their way to the confrontation zone, which led to the destruction of a number of their vehicles, and the killing and wounding of all those on board.

In addition, on Sunday, Yemeni army forces shot down a drone of the Houthi rebel militia in Al-Jaroub area of   Al-Matoon district, west of Al-Jawf.

Major General Sagheer bin Aziz stressed that the national army will not retreat from its main goal, which is to liberate the capital, Sanaa, noting that Houthi's attempts to deceive people with his false victories will not dissuade the army and the Yemeni people from completing liberation, achieving victory, and defeating the Houthi rebellion.

The commander of joint operations called on the Yemeni people in the areas still under the control of the coup militias to spare their children the inevitable fate and not to throw them in the crematorium of death in the ranks of the priestly militia that does not respect the sanctity of the blood of the Yemenis, pointing to the heavy losses incurred by the militia during the current battle.
