Mocha, Newsyemen, private:

On Wednesday, a civilian was wounded by a landmine from the Houthi militia, in the Mocha district.

Elias Saraji told Newsyemen, that an anti-vehicle landmine, left over from the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, exploded in a truck carrying workers in picking onions in the "Al-Ramah" area, wounding the truck driver Hassan Bukri.

Saraji, a resident of Al-Ramah area, east of Mocha, added that Bukri had been injured on the left foot, and he had been transferred to the MSF surgical hospital in Mocha.

A number of civilians have fallen due to the explosion of landmines during the years following the expulsion of militias linked to Iran, which draws attention to the dangers that threaten the lives of people in coastal areas planted by the Houthi militias, in large quantities, to make the districts and cities of the West Coast the largest minefield in  the world.

Many coastal residents face difficulty returning to their homes, which they have been forced to leave, due to the dangers posed by landmines.
