Preachers of mosques affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood in Taiz refused to abide by the Ministry of Endowments and Guidance's decision to stop Friday and congregational prayers in mosques.

Local sources told (Newsyemen), that the preachers affiliated with the Brotherhood, the first of them being the hard-line preacher Abdullah Al-Adaini, rejected the Ministry of Endowments’s decision, and held Friday sermon and Friday prayers in mosques in Taiz.

At the same time, some mosques were closed in implementation of the decisions of the Ministry of Endowments, notably the Al-Mudhafar Mosque, but the citizens refused, and they performed the sermon and performed Friday prayers next to the mosque.

In a related context, thousands of citizens flocked to the Qat markets in the city of Taiz, despite a decision issued by the Medical Emergency Committee to close the markets, especially the Qat markets to prevent the spreading of coronavirus.
