Security services prevent gatherings in Mukalla

The security forces in Mukalla, on the coast of Hadhramaut, raided restaurants, cafeterias, popular cafes, internet stores, and places of citizens ’gatherings, as part of preventing the emerging Coronavirus.


The campaign targeted the neighborhoods of Al-Mukalla, Al-Sharg, Al-Dis, Bajaman, Fuwah, Ibn Sina and Al-Shafi’i, with the participation of a security force from Al-Najda, Al-Khasa, Al-Muroor, and the Security Directorate.

During the campaign, the security services called on all citizens to avoid gatherings and to stay away from markets, cafes and weddings, in the interest of their safety.


The campaign stressed the ban on holding evening parties, noting that those who violate the instructions will face severe penalties.

The security services have warned owners of restaurants and cafes not to sell inside the shops, and only sell "canned" so that the citizen can find his necessary requirements.

The Newsyemen correspondent said that he witnessed the Director of Hadhramout Coast Police and Security, Brigadier Mounir al-Tamimi, advancing the forces in implementation of instructions to prevent gatherings that come to preserve the safety of the Hadrami citizen from the virus (Covid-19).
