The coalition foils a terrorist operation with two booby-trapped boats off Hodeidah

On Thursday, the Saudi-led Arab coalition announced the destruction of two booby-trapped boats belonging to the Houthi militia, opposite the Hodeidah governorate, west of Yemen.
A spokesman for the Arab Coalition, Colonel Turki Al-Maliki, said in a statement that the coalition's joint forces carried out early this morning a qualitative operation to target and destroy two legitimate military targets affiliated with the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, 6 km south of the port of Al-Salif, located in Hodeidah Governorate.
He added that the two boats were remote-controlled bombers and posed an imminent threat to the shipping lines and world trade and a threat to regional and international security.
Al-Maliki stated that the boats were equipped to carry out imminent hostilities and terrorist operations in the Bab al-Mandab strait and the southern Red Sea.
He renewed the coalition's accusation of the Houthis of taking "Hodeidah governorate a place to launch ballistic missiles, drones, booby-trapped and remote-operated boats, as well as indiscriminately deploying sea mines in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and in violation of the provisions of the Stockholm Agreement."
