Masam removes more than 263,000 mines from Remnants of the Houthi militia

The teams of the “Masam” demining project in Yemen have recovered (263797) mines, unexploded ordnance and an explosive device.

The director general of the Saudi project to clear mines in areas liberated from the Houthi militia, Osama Al-Gosaibi, said that the total number of Houthi mines that have been extracted in Yemen since the project’s launch has reached 263,797.

He explained that, from the end of June 2018 until July 23, Masam's teams removed 169,792 unexploded ordnance.

He added that Masam's teams have so far cleared 83,943 anti-tank mines and 3,984 anti-personnel mines, while they have so far cleared 24,800,280 square meters of Yemeni lands that were booby-trapped with mines, ammunition and explosive devices.
