United Nations: Half of Yemen's displaced are children

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees confirmed that 53% of the displaced in Yemen are children.

The UN agency said, in a tweet on its Twitter account, that 53% of the displaced people due to the ongoing conflict are children.

"They struggle the most when they are forced to flee their homes," she said.

"Despite all this, they always find a way to be happy, like these children in Marib," she noted.

The war triggered by the Houthi militia led to the displacement of nearly 4 million Yemenis from their homes to other governorates and caused the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, according to United Nations organizations.
