Al-Hajraf and Grundberg discuss resuming the peace process in Yemen

 The Gulf Cooperation Council said, on Monday, that its Secretary-General, Nayef Al-Hajraf, met in Riyadh with the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, to discuss efforts to resume the peace process, building on the humanitarian truce and the outcomes of the Yemeni consultations sponsored by the Council last month.

In a press release, the two sides affirmed their constant endeavor to develop efforts that "reflect a Gulf, regional and international concern to advance the development, relief and economic fields in Yemen in accordance with the aspirations of the Yemeni people."

In the meeting, Al-Hajraf reiterated the commitment of the Gulf Cooperation Council to support all efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability and achieving development and peace for the Yemeni people.
