The Director of the Electricity Corporation in the capital, Aden, Salem Al-Walidi, announced that the UAE has guaranteed the provision of diesel and mazut for power plants, for a period of three months.
Al-Walidi said in a statement to Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath channel, that the UAE promised a member of the Leadership Council, Commander Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, to provide fuel for electricity in Aden, for three months.
In the context of his statement, Al-Walidi indicated that the problem of frequent power cuts in Aden during the past days is due to a shortage of fuel.
Al-Walidi confirmed that the Presidential Command Council, the government and the governor of Aden have provided quantities of fuel, which will contribute to restoring some of the suspended stations to service.
Al-Walidi explained that the electricity problem in Aden extends for several years, explaining that the capital needs more than 600 megabytes, and currently there are about 300 megabytes only, in the private and government sectors.
In this context, Adviser to the President of the Southern Transitional Council, Dr. Saddam Abdullah, confirmed that the leader Al-Zubaidi made contact with the brothers in the UAE, and these efforts culminated in the brothers' sponsoring the provision of diesel and diesel for electricity in Aden for a period of three months, which is the summer period this year.
Counselor Abdullah said, in a tweet, that the efforts made by the President of the Southern Transitional Council, Commander Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, come within the framework of his concern and concern for the suffering of the citizen and the search for urgent solutions to alleviate it.
