Aden, NewsYemen, special:

The terrorist Houthi militia, the arm of Iran, is preparing to take control of the last ports of the city of Taiz, which it has besieged from the north, east and west for nearly eight years, and has so far refused to make any concessions to ease the siege on it.

While the militias are participating in the Amman negotiations sponsored by the United Nations in order to lift the siege on Taiz and open roads, at the same time they continue to build a dirt road northwest of Taiz city, starting from the Sateen Road and then the Khamseen and through the villages near the air defense camp all the way to Street  Arbaeen north of Taiz city.

Military sources believe that the goal of the militias by building this road is to reach the "Air Defense Camp" and Mount Jarrah, which they have been unable to control for eight years.

The militia's movements coincide with the efforts of the United Nations through its envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, who seems unable to convince the militias of any proposals or perceptions submitted by the government committee or even submitted by it, according to the statement issued by his office.

The UN envoy's proposal calls for the reopening of roads, including a main line, leading to and from Taiz, in addition to roads in other governorates, with the aim of alleviating the suffering of civilians and facilitating the arrival of goods.

The proposal takes into account suggestions and concerns expressed by the two parties, in addition to observations made by Yemeni civil society.

The statements of the militia leaders do not indicate that they are ready to respond to the UN envoy’s proposal, but rather indicate that they are determined to implement their own visions and complete the road that they will consider as an implementation of part of their commitments in their own way.

However, military experts believe that the militias’ continued implementation of this scheme, which is carried out with open international complicity, means that the militias are moving towards completing their siege of the city by controlling the last of its ports linking it to the capital, Aden, after taking control of the air defense camp and the dust adjacent to it, all the way to Strategic jarrah mountain that overlooks the entire city of Taiz.
