Shabwa, NewsYemen:

Activists considered the security file in Shabwa to be one of the most important, sensitive and complex files that the governor, the son of the minister, must take care of and place among his priorities.

Political activist Salem al-Awlaki said that projects in the province are useless without security and stability, and security is useless without law and order, explaining that law and order preserve people’s rights equally and no one is above the system, regardless of their tribe.

Political activist Abd Rabbo al-Awlaki, the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, called for radical changes to be made within the security services, empowering talent, deploying security points and patrols in Ataq, the provincial capital, and banning the carrying of weapons inside the city.

Al-Awlaki said in a post on Facebook, addressing the governor, Ibn al-Wazir: The security file is important and sensitive, and any failure will withdraw your popular credit.

A source in the local authority revealed that there is a new security plan developed by the local authority headed by the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, to enhance the level of security and stability in the governorate.

The governor of Shabwa, Awad bin Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki, is working to bring all the security and military units in the governorate under his administration. After his appointment, he formed a joint room to unify the formations under his authority.

The governor, Ibn al-Wazir, faces problems in the security file, most notably the Special Forces, because of their excesses and their association with the Brotherhood’s Islah Party and their failure to submit to the governorate’s security committee.

The Special Forces Command rejected decisions issued by the Director of Security, Awad al-Dahboul, to dismiss the Chief of Staff and Operations, and threatened to explode the situation militarily.

These decisions come within the framework of the efforts of the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, to end the division within the military and security establishment and unify the factions and formations, after a struggle and fighting financed by the previous authority loyal to the Brotherhood that lasted for more than three years.

The governor, Ibn al-Wazir, returned the Shabwa Defense Forces to the governorate and handed them the file of securing and protecting some areas and directorates, as well as reducing the role and tasks of the Special Forces.

The efforts and movements of the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, also contributed to extracting the tasks of securing and protecting companies and oil fields from the forces loyal to the Brotherhood, and handing them over to forces from the Southern Giants Brigades.
