Sana'a, NewsYemen:

Sources working in the Ministry of Finance in Sana'a revealed that the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - has excluded a large group of customs officials for purely racist motives.

The sources indicated that the Houthi militia expelled hundreds of employees of the Customs Authority, under the pretext of retirement, without legal settlement of the situation of the employees whose salaries and job entitlements had been looted since 2016.

Earlier, the Parliament in Sanaa had halted a Houthi plan to lay off tens of thousands of employees and replace them with elements loyal to the group, under the title (referral to retirement) for those who had reached one of the two deadlines.

During the year 2021, the Houthi militia continued to exploit the differences of national political forces, and worked to exclude and remove national cadres from jobs and replace them with unqualified loyal elements.

It also established (virtual) bodies parallel to state institutions, which worked to disrupt them and empty them of their legal and constitutional content, in exchange for the development of absurdity.  Administrative and financial corruption and the striking of the concept of the national state in public awareness and collective memory.

Since its control over state institutions in Sanaa, the Houthi militia has implemented draft appointments for its leaders and members in various military and civil state institutions. These appointments focused on selecting leaders affiliated with the family of the Houthi militia leader and appointing them to important positions, in addition to leaders close to the militia leader, and his relatives, granting them important positions in state institutions, the most prominent of which were in the ministries of Education, the Interior, and Intelligence, and granting her the right to nominate those close to them for appointment to revenue institutions, such as: Oil, Communications, Taxes, Customs, the Oil Company and the Gas Company.
