Sana'a, NewsYemen, private:

The drug trade represents the most important means that terrorist groups and armed militias rely on in order to finance their movements and their continuity in destabilizing countries.

The Revolutionary Guards and the Quds Force, and behind them the Iranian regime, and through its tools and arms in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and the Horn of Africa, are the most important actors in the manufacture and promotion of narcotics, as a cover for financing many commitments and expansion projects and penetrating societies in the Arab Gulf and other countries.

The Houthi militias, according to various sources, are now running multiple networks for drug smuggling to Yemen and neighboring countries, with the help of the mafia networks of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the pro-Iranian Lebanese Hezbollah, and by virtue of this trade turned Yemen into a corridor for this trade, taking advantage of its continued control over the port of Hodeidah, which was stopped  Stockholm 2018. Liberalization process.

Political researcher Abdul-Sattar Al-Shamiri said, in press statements, that Yemen has become a dangerous corridor, due to its proximity to the Horn of Africa and the Houthi militia's association with Iran, but he stressed that it is not an environment for the cultivation of such materials.

The security authorities in a number of liberated governorates seized during the past years large quantities of narcotic drugs that were on their way to the Houthi terrorist militia to be used in order to wash the minds of its supporters, as well as to trade and smuggle them to the countries of the Horn of Africa.

The number of shipments seized during the period from September 2016 to last April amounted to 78 drug shipments, which were seized on their way to the militias, either by land or sea.

A number of security sources agree that drugs come from Iran, Lebanon, South America, Pakistan and Afghanistan, and are bought and smuggled by the Iranian mafia, in cooperation with the Houthi militia, which smuggles them within Yemen.

In late June, the terrorist Houthi militia announced the burning of 40 tons of narcotics and two million Captagon pills in Sanaa.

As much as these statements provoked a wave of ridicule because of the declared quantity, which is considered very large, they revealed part of the size of the quantities stored by these militias of narcotic substances.

Activists and observers specializing in Yemeni affairs said that the militias' announcement was just a lie, just like the anti-terror operation, which releases al-Qaeda and ISIS men from detention.

They stressed that these are all dangerous indicators that reveal the extent of the absurdity that is taking place inside Yemen after Sanaa fell in late 2014 to the hands of the Houthis, the most prominent arm of the Iranian regime in the Arabian Peninsula and Africa.
