The Yemeni Presidential Council holds an emergency meeting on Shabwa and takes decisions to end the tension

On Monday, the Presidential Leadership Council held an emergency meeting to discuss the security developments in Shabwa governorate, the necessary measures for the urgent normalization of the situation, the restoration of public tranquility in the city of Ataq and the rest of the governorate's directorates, and the accountability of those responsible for the events.

The meeting was held in the presence of members of the Supreme Security Committee, the head and members of the joint security and military committee.

According to the Yemeni news agency "Saba", the council listened to the briefings of the concerned agencies about these developments and their background, and the ongoing efforts to contain them, and took a number of decisions (not mentioned) to end the causes of tensions and ensure that they do not recur in the future.

The Council expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured. In this regard, it directed the concerned authorities to count the civilian losses and make reparations to the citizens.

The Presidential Command Council warned of the consequences of such unfortunate events on the home front, and the unity of the ranks in the battle to restore the state and end the coup of the Houthi militia backed by the Iranian regime, in addition to their economic and humanitarian repercussions and increasing the suffering of citizens.
