Taiz, NewsYemen, special:

Senior leaders of the terrorist Houthi militia seized large areas of state land and citizens, in the Al-Ta'aziah district, which is controlled by the militia in Taiz Governorate, southwest of Yemen.

Informed sources told NewsYemen that the Houthi leader, Salah Bajash, was appointed by the militia as governor of Taiz.  They ransacked a plot of 600 square feet, owned by Ali Abdullah Al-Fattah.

The Houthi governor invoked the "construction of a building for the governorate of Taiz" to control Al-Fattah's property by force of arms.

She added that Bagash, along with other Houthi leaders, Amin al-Bahr and Faisal al-Bahr, began the process of looting other large areas of Al-Fattah's property in the Engineers Corps in the same area.

The sources said that the Houthi governor of Taiz is using his influence and strengthening himself with weapons in the process of seizing the lands of citizens since his appointment to the position, noting that he sold the looted lands for millions of riyals.

She emphasized that Bajash went too far in using force methods and forcing citizens to give up their lands in many areas and villages of condolences.

The sources revealed that Houthi military and security leaders are carrying out the largest robbery of citizens' lands along the general line between Mawiyah Junction and the airport (the old Taiz airport).

The Houthi robbery of the land includes the areas between Mawiyah Junction and Al-Qaeda city, which is administratively affiliated to Ibb Governorate.

While the militia practices intimidation against the citizens who own these lands, if they object to its looting, it takes them to prisons and charges them with trumped-up charges, including "treason and employment".

 Arrogance and intimidation

Mohsen Hazaa Abdullah, a resident of the area, told NewsYemen that the robberies practiced by the Houthi militia on the property of citizens in Al-Taziah have increased in recent years, especially at Taiz Airport and the back lands that extend from Mawiyah Junction to Al-Jund area.

According to Hazaa, the attacks on citizens' lands by Houthi leaders take many forms, including: the extension of these lands by force, the denial of citizens' ownership over them, selling or building on them without any agreement, and putting pressure on the landowners to give up them by force.

Hazaa describes the Houthis' methods of robbing these lands as arrogant and intimidating the real owners, forcing them to give up their property and succumb to the fait accompli.
