The King of Jordan receives the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council

 His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed Jordan's position in support of the brotherly Yemeni people and the efforts exerted to reach a political solution that restores security and stability to Yemen.

During his meeting with the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, at Al-Husseiniya Palace, today, Monday, His Majesty pointed out the need to end the crisis in Yemen, in a way that guarantees its unity, stability and territorial integrity, pointing to Jordan's support for efforts to renew the Yemeni armistice.

According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the meeting dealt with the brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries, and the latest regional and international developments.

Emphasis was placed on continuing coordination and consultation on various issues of common interest, in a way that achieves the interests of the two countries and serves Arab issues.

For his part, the head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council praised the efforts made by Jordan, led by His Majesty the King, to end the Yemeni crisis, stressing his appreciation for the Jordanian role and his call in all international forums to reach a political solution that leads to restoring Yemen's security and stability.

On Monday, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, arrived in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on an official visit, to discuss joint efforts to deter Houthi threats to the security of the Red Sea, global trade supplies, and international peace and security.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council is accompanied by two members of the Council, Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh and Abdullah Al-Alimi.

According to the Yemeni news agency, Saba, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council discussed during the visit the latest developments in the Yemeni situation and its regional and international repercussions, and joint efforts to deter the Houthi terrorist threats to the security of the Red Sea, global trade supplies, and international peace and security.

The agency added that the President of the Council expressed his confidence that this visit would represent an additional impetus to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, praising the Jordanian humanitarian facilities provided to thousands of Yemenis fleeing the war.
