The Saudi Foreign Ministry reveals the results of its delegation's discussions with the Houthis in Sana'a

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, on Saturday, that the meetings and discussions of its delegation with the leadership of the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - were transparent in an optimistic and positive atmosphere, noting that subsequent meetings will be held as soon as possible, leading to a comprehensive and sustainable political solution that is acceptable to all Yemeni parties.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry added, in a statement - seen by NewsYemen - that the delegation's visit to Sana'a, led by Ambassador to Yemen Muhammad Al Jaber, during the period from 8 to 13 April, comes as an extension of the Saudi initiative that was announced in March 2021, and for the positive atmosphere provided by the humanitarian truce in Yemen declared by the United Nations on April 2, 2022.
It stated that the delegation held a series of meetings with the Houthis in Sana'a, "which witnessed in-depth discussions on many issues related to the humanitarian situation, the release of all prisoners, a cease-fire, and a comprehensive political solution in Yemen."
It explained that these meetings and discussions were characterized by transparency in an optimistic and positive atmosphere.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry said: "Given the need for more discussions, these meetings will be completed as soon as possible, leading to a comprehensive and sustainable political solution acceptable to all Yemeni parties."
