A civilian was killed and a child was injured on Thursday in a Houthi landmine blast in Saber al-Mawadem district in Taiz province, a military source said.

The source added that the civilian Ebrahim AbdulSamed Abdo was killed, and the child Ebrahim AbdulRashid was injured in face and feet in Shahr village in al-Shaqb area in Taiz.

The Human Rights Information Center monitored that 10 civilians were injured, including three children, as a result of Houthi mines and improvised explosive devices explosions in January.

Houthi militias have intensified planting landmines in the outskirts of Taiz city, killing six Houthi militias last week in al-Manem Mountain, west Taiz city while they were planting them.
