The shocking testimony of a former abducted woman exposes Houthi attempts to recruit Yemeni women "sexually"
English - Wednesday 31 May 2023 الساعة 06:01 pmA former abductee of the Houthi terrorist group, Iran's arm in Yemen, revealed shocking details about the abuse and torture of hundreds of abducted women in the group's prisons with the aim of forcing them to work for it.
The abducted, Yusra al-Nashiri, recounted the details of the story of her abduction by the Houthi militia in Sana'a in February of 2021, accompanied by her colleague Intisar al-Hammadi, who is still kidnapped by the militia until now.
Al-Nashiri said, in a video testimony broadcast by Al-Hadath channel, that the Houthi militia, after kidnapping her and her colleague Intisar, transferred them to an unknown location, where they were subjected to sexual harassment, torture, insults and slander by militia members.
Al-Nashiri revealed that the Houthi militia asked them to work in their favor in targeting personalities that the militia considers their opponents, by establishing an illegal relationship with these personalities and photographing them in immoral situations, in exchange for their release and giving them huge sums of money.
Adding that when she objected to that, and how could the militias ask her to do an immoral and religiously forbidden act, they replied to her that this is permissible if it is “for the sake of the homeland,” as they claim, stressing that this did not only happen with her and her colleague Intisar, but rather with hundreds Women kidnapped by militias.
After their refusal, the abducted Yusra said that the group fabricated for her and her colleague Intisar a case of "violating public morals and promoting drugs", 4 months after their kidnapping, and they were sentenced to 5 years in prison, confirming that the torture continued against them after their transfer to the central prison.
Where the abducted Yusra revealed that she was beaten with sticks, chained and crucified under the sun for hours, indicating that she was hearing voices and screams of women because they were tortured by the prison officials, confirming that some of the abductees were raped and some of them committed suicide.
She explained that she was able to get out of prison with a commercial guarantee due to illness, and took advantage of that to flee with her family towards the capital, Aden, and from there to the Jordanian capital, Amman, pointing out at the end of her testimony that she is still suffering to this day from the effects of kidnapping, as scenes of torture recur to her in her dreams on a daily basis.
