A Yemeni Plastic Arts Painter accused Qatar Fine Arts Association of hiding 33 paintings of Yemeni artists for nine years ago.

The artist, Radfan al-Mohamadi, said he tried to resolve the matter amicably with the Qatar Association through communication with the former president and current, but he did not receive a response, adding that he addressed the Qatari embassy in Cairo, but it did not respond.

The case dates back to 2010, when al-Mohamadi was working as the director of the Art House in Taiz province, where the Qatari artist Hakim al-Aqil, who was the Qatari Undersecretary of the Arts Culture Ministry proposed to host Qatari artists at the Art House in Taiz.

Doha was declared the capital of Arab culture in 2010, an occasion which was celebrated with different events throughout the year.
