STC President al-Zoubaidi forms sixth Shock Troops brigade for al-Sabaiha Axis in Lahj

The President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), the commander of the Southern Resistance Forces, the Major General Aidarus al-Zoubaidi issued a decree on Tuesday to form a new military brigade in al-Sabaiha Axis in Lahj province.

The decree stipulated that the new brigade will be the Sixth Shock Troops, naming Farouq Ali Ahmed Saeed al-Ka'aluli as the commander of the new military brigade.

The Chairman of the Transitional Media Department in al-Madaribah district Jamil al-Aghbari said the brigade headquarters received on Monday military ordnance, for the new military brigade, to be formed in the coming period so as to be a nucleus of the military units in al-Sabaiha Axis.

Al-Aghbari added that the new brigade will protect the Southern provinces against any Houthi attempts to sneak into Southern areas, which they try to return southern through launching attacks on the Southern border areas.

Al-Ka'aluli and al-Aghbari were among the first fighters in the Southern Movement. They had also a prominent role in liberating Aden province. They participated in the military fronts in al-Sabaiha Axis when the Houthi militias tried to attack the South through al-Sabaiha gate, northwest of al-Madaribah district in Lahj province.

The Major General al-Zoubaidi, the commander of the Southern Resistance, pushed the first Shock Troops brigade to confront the Houthi militias that attacked areas north of al-Dhale'.

The commander of the Southern Resistance al-Zubaidi had ordered, before days, to reinforce al-Dhale' fronts with four military brigades, the second, the third, the fourth and the fifth Shock Troops. The brigades of the Southern Resistance reached to six, equipping with modern weapons.
