Sana'a – NewsYemen.net

Nearby the Political Security Building in the capital Sana'a, there were a woman and her two children trying to approach the entrance to the detainees' visit, but the guards prevented them on the grounds that the time was Eid period, and there were no visits.

The woman which seems to be a wife of one of the detainees in a Houthi prison said she has been prevented to visit her husband for more than two months, including phone calls.

She added she came upon the insistence of her two children so as to see their father inside the Houthi prison in Eid al-Fitr despite her previous knowledge that her trying is going to be failed.

"My children are sad when they see their friends and neighbors celebrating the day with their parents. They just want to see their father and talk to him, but the militias have prevented us from doing so", the mother said.

The file of detainees, abductees and enforced disappearances remains among the Houthi militias, is one of the most prominent files being deliberately forgotten by the parties opposed to the militias, led by the Hadi's legitimate government.

Since the Stockholm agreement that have been hailed by the Hadi's Legitimacy, especially in terms of the file of detainees, which was said that it will be the file that will create an appropriate ground to restore confidence between Legitimacy and Houthis through accelerating the implementation of the agreement and releasing all detainees, but nothing was done till now, or, nothing have been achieved right now.

More than half a year and the file, like the rest of the files in Sweden's consultations, remains a dead letter / that's just words on paper.

In Ramadan, the Houthi militias held an agreement with Southern leaders in order to release Houthi prisoners in return for the release of Southern leaders who were held in Sana'a prisons for reasons unrelated to the current events.

Family sources affirmed to Newsyemen the militias completely prevented visits to detainees and abductees before the holy month of Ramadan and till now, and refused to allow them to contact with their families for unknown reasons. The sources criticized Hadi's government in neglecting of the detainees file.

Detainees, hidden in the Houthi militias' jails are among political leaders, journalists, activists, sheikhs and state employees, the all have been arrested for political reasons. Some of them have been arrested for four years. Many of them have died in the militias prisons. Some of them are subjected to various forms of physical and psychological torture.
