Military police commander and provincial deputy Arif Gamal attacked a vigil for civil servants and staged a sit-in tuesday afternoon in the central Yemeni city of Taiz.

Protest officials told Newsymen that military police commander Jamal al-Shamiri and escorts of Agent Arif Jamel, led by Hadi al-Asali, attacked civil servants demanding payment of their salaries.

Jamal al-Shamiri and Hadi al-Asali also dispersed the sit-in of employees of government agencies and agencies by force of arms in front of the temporary headquarters of the province of the oil company on Jamal Street in the center of Taiz, and confiscated the phones of some employees.

This is not the first attack of its kind, as three months ago, the commander of the military police force, Agent Aref Jamel, broke up a similar sit-in for the staff of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in front of the temporary headquarters of the province.
