Gulf Summit confirms its keenness to jointly defend to face any military threat

At the end of their 40th summit today in Riyadh, the leaders of the Gulf states stressed their keenness to achieve integration and interdependence between their countries and strengthen cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries to counter any security or military threats targeting any of the GCC countries.

any attack on any state in the Council is an attack on the whole council, while stressing the importance of protecting maritime navigation in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea from any threats.

The statement pointed to the need for military and security integration, the activation of collective security and the joint defense agreement to ensure the safety of the GCC countries.

the statement called for the achievement of economic unity and customs integration among the GCC countries, pointing out the importance of achieving financial and monetary union by 2025.

the Gulf Summit, GCC Secretary General Abdul Latif al-Zayani called for strengthening military and security cooperation to maintain regional security.
