Socotra governorate witnessed popular protests that came from various regions of the archipelago to Socotra International Airport, on Wednesday morning, to refuse entry of Marib and Islah party members.
Sources revealed the arrival of a military committee from Marib to Socotra governorate aiming to enable military party units to complete control of the island.
The Southern Transitional Council in the Governorate of Socotra organized a protest to deny the committee entry to Socotra, with a mass popular interaction with all its political components in front of the airport gate.
The protesters demanded the President of the Republic and the Arab coalition forces to stop these unlawful moves that bring the conflict to peaceful Socotra, and they affirmed their categorical refusal to enter the elements of the Islah Party to Socotra.
They called on the President of the Republic and the Arab coalition forces to review the political situation in Socotra and end the games of Islah before the problems in the archipelago worsen.
