On the morning of Wednesday, February 19, the Mukalla port on the Hadhramaut coast received the generator and equipment ship of the Al-Shehr power plant project.

The capacity of the new generators is about 40 mega, two of four generators, within the plan to construct a new generation plant located east of Mukalla.

The governor of Hadramaut Faraj Al-Bahsni said, in a statement, that they attach special importance to the electricity file, and they have been seeking for years to develop it and make a quantum leap in it by establishing electrical stations owned by the local authority in the governorate.

Al-Bahsni stressed that the new 40-megawatt project for the city of Al-Shehr, which is nearing completion, will contribute to solving the problem of interruptions, especially in the summer.

The governor of Hadhramaut indicated that the local authority in the governorate will receive during the next month of June 50 mega from Al-Ahram Company, after the end of the energy purchase contract with it, and the ownership of the 50 mega-state will take over.
