Marib, Newsyemen:

A field military commander in the government forces was subjected to an assassination attempt by soldiers at a military post in the center of Ma'rib Governorate, while he was returning from the Serwah Front.

A tribal source said that Colonel Abdel-Khaleq Ghaleb Bahibeh, commander of the Special Battalion in the 143rd Brigade, was shot, Wednesday, at a military post of the 62nd Infantry Brigade near the government complex in Marib.

For their part, the "bloc of Ahrar Murad tribe"  demanded that the military police arrest the perpetrators, as they were "affiliated with one of the military brigades in Marib."

The bloc held the commander of the Third Military Region fully responsible for the consequences of the accident if those involved were not disclosed, interrogated and the circumstances of the incident revealed.
