The Youth and Sports Office in Hodeidah condemns the targeting of the Houthi militia, the sports facilities in Taiz

On Monday, the Youth and Sports Office in Al Hudaydah Governorate condemned the Houthi militia’s continued targeting of vital and sports facilities in Taiz Governorate.

The director of the office, Captain Abdo Khamisi, expressed his condemnation of the militia’s targeting of Al-Ahly Club’s headquarters with an artillery shell that resulted in the death of the former player of Al-Tali'a club Nasser Al-Rimi and his son, Imran, 10 years old, and the two children Karam Shawqi, 10 years old, and Ramzi Shawqi, 7 years old, were injured while they were performing morning exercises in Club stadium.

He added that the Houthi militia does not care about rights or freedoms and does not abide by international covenants that provide for sparing civilians the scourge of war.

He expressed the condolences of the sports community in Hodeidah to the family and relatives of Captain Nasser and his son, stressing that the barbaric bombing of a sports facility in which only athletes were present was a heinous crime and a flagrant violation of all laws.
