The Emirates Red Crescent launches a new year aid program in the coast

Relief teams in the Emirates Red Crescent Authority launched the relief aid program for the current year 2021 for the displaced in Al Waara camp in Al Khokha district and Al Hima camp in Al Tuhaita district of Al Hodeidah governorate, by distributing 20 tons of integrated food aid.


This amount comes within a large amount of aid that arrived at the port of Mocha earlier this week and is estimated at about 520 tons, including the areas of need in the villages of Al-Tuhaita, Hais, Al-Durahimi and Beit Al-Faqih, in addition to the camps for the displaced, the areas of Al-Khokha, Al-Hawk, Al-Hali, the surviving villages, and poor families in Taiz Governorate.


During the inauguration, the relief official stated: “We are in the process of launching relief aid for the year 2021 for the residents of the coast and those in need, and that the Crescent Authority came to restore hope to the residents of these remote and deprived areas, and to alleviate the suffering of the people of these villages who have become suffering from scarcity of economic resources and their inability to face the burdens of life and livelihoods, and that the Crescent Authority will continue its humanitarian march to reach the poor, needy, destitute and displaced."


For his part, the Director of the Executive Unit in Al-Khokha said, “The Crescent Authority has never been and will never fail with the people of the coast since it came to the region, and that the aid reaches those who deserve it without stopping, and this is what no humanitarian organization in the coast has made.”  

He also thanked the Crescent Authority and the United Arab Emirates for their efforts and fruitful efforts in various service areas.


The beneficiaries expressed their thanks to the UAE for its continuous support to them through its humanitarian arm, the Red Crescent Authority, which contributes to alleviating their suffering due to these difficult humanitarian conditions, and that the UAE will remain the hand of generosity and generosity since its establishment to this day.

This support comes as a continuation of the humanitarian campaign carried out by the Emirates Red Crescent to provide relief to citizens in rural and remote areas. Relief and shelter aid will continue to flow to the affected families in the liberated districts.
