Abyan tribes call for the withdrawal of forces from Shuqra and to liberate Mukairas

A meeting of the tribes of Abyan called on the government of equitability and the Arab coalition to implement the Riyadh Agreement, withdraw forces from Shakra and head to the fronts to liberate Mukairas district, which is under the control of the Houthi group.

The tribal meeting sponsored by Sheikh Hussein bin Nasser, head of the Al-Awadhil tribes alliance, said in his statement that the southern issue is a land, identity and state issue that cannot be undone, stressing the cohesion of the southern social fabric and cannot be divided.

The meeting called on the people of the central region of the governorate to join hands and brotherhood to preserve their area, calling on the government and the coalition to direct forces to the battle fronts and move to liberate Mukairas district.


The meeting confirmed that the forces present in Shuqra have become an obstacle to security and stability in the central region. The meeting also called on the Arab coalition to oblige the obstructing party to withdraw immediately, in accordance with the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement.
