Aden, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The recent statements of the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen, Sheikh Hamid al-Ahmar, have aroused the recent statements of the Turkish intervention in Yemen and also regarding military developments and the battle of Marib, and his attempts to link them with the status of the joint resistance forces on the western coast, and his claim that the Sweden agreement concerns only the city of Hodeidah and not the whole governorate and his call for the joint force in the western coast to declare a battle in order to relieve pressure on Marib, and what was included in his words of reference to the Taiz front and linking it to the battle of Marib These statements have raised many questions among the various circles, whether popular, political and media, about their causes, timing, and objectives ?!

To find out the reactions of people in the capital, Sanaa, about the statements of Sheikh Hamid al-Ahmar, who currently lives with many leaders of the Islah party (the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen), NewsYemen tried to poll the opinions of a sample of citizens about their opinion of what was included in the recent statements of Al-Ahmar published on his Facebook page.

Al-Ahmar's statements ... and the Turkish taxpayer

Muhammad al-Samawi, a student in the Department of Political Studies at Sana'a University, links the recent statements of the Brotherhood, Hamid al-Ahmar, with his statements regarding the call for a Turkish intervention in Yemen, which he released last February in a television interview on Al-Jazeera, in which he explicitly called for a Turkish military intervention in Yemen under the pretext of confronting the militias. The Houthi movement is the Iranian arm in Yemen.

Al-Samawi says to NewsYemen: Early last February, Hamid al-Ahmar published a picture of him and the Brotherhood leader Salah Bates, head of the Yemeni community in Turkey, as they describe him, with Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu, in which he claimed that the meeting was devoted to discussing the situation of the community, but it turned out later that this visit was the beginning to spark a spark Subsequent political positions, which was confirmed in the Al-Jazeera interview with Al-Ahmar, which included an explicit call for Turkish intervention in Yemen.

Muhammad al-Samawi indicates that Hamid al-Ahmar's position was not his position as a person or as a Brotherhood leader, but rather that it came within the framework of a media campaign adopted by Yemeni politicians, media figures and Brotherhood activists who are called (Turkey and Qatar’s wing in reform) who adopt positions that attack legitimacy and seek to fabricate political crises not among the parties. The hostility to the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen not only, but also seeks to stir up differences between the parties and the countries of the coalition, specifically between Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, which was evidenced by the positions of the Brotherhood leader Tawakkol Karman and her media team, as well as the publications and tweets of the journalist and responsible for Yemeni affairs on Al-Jazeera channel Ahmed Al-Shalfi, media professionals and activists Brotherhood members poured their efforts in the direction of calling for a Turkish intervention in Yemen.

The Brotherhood .. Continued hatred and repeated mistakes

For his part, Khaled Al-Raeini, a sociology student at Sana'a University, believes that the problem of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen (the Islah Party) as an institution and leaders is that they continue to hate them and repeat the mistakes of the past in their dealings with the events taking place in the country, and therefore they have failed and are still achieving their goals, that they could have achieved them had they left Square in 2011.

Al-Raeini says to NewsYemen, commenting on Al-Ahmar's statements: We recall Sheikh Hamid Al-Ahmar and the leaders of Islah that they were the first to absolve the Houthi militias of all their crimes and what they had committed against the homeland, so that Hamid al-Ahmar described the Houthi militia’s fall of Saada during the 2011 crisis as the first governorate to fall into the hands of the revolutionaries.

We also remind him of the statements of his brother, Sadiq al-Ahmar, who claimed that the Houthis are revolutionaries and that former President Saleh was the one who fought them and even apologized to them, and we remind the leaders of Islah how they received the leaders of the Houthis in the university square and described them as revolutionaries and militants, all for the sake of what they saw as achieving their goals.

He added: Do we remember Hamid al-Ahmar and the leaders of Islah that their government, headed by a symposium, committed the greatest crime against the homeland and the citizens when it announced an official apology in the name of the government to the Houthi militia for the army’s wars to quell their rebellion in Saada and how that apology was the straw that broke the camel’s back and granted the Houthi an innocence document All his crimes, and even encouraged him to commit more and implement his project, which ended with the coup against the state’s authorities, the control of its institutions, the expulsion of everyone, especially the reformists, and the waging of an all-out war against all Yemenis.

Al-Raeini continued: It is regrettable that all these stances and mistakes committed by the reformists were the result of hatred and hatred against former President Saleh, and the Brotherhood did not appreciate its outcomes or results, and it is more unfortunate today that after everything that happened during the past ten years, despite the departure of President Saleh as a martyr to his Lord while he resisted The Houthi project is still dealing with events with the same sick mentality full of hatred, and they make the same mistakes, thinking that they are thus achieving their goals.

The sociologist continues: Hamid Al-Ahmar's statements regarding Marib, the Sweden agreement, the status of the joint forces in the West Coast, and the current battle of Taiz all indicate the continuation of the mentality of hatred, especially since Al-Ahmar realizes that the Stockholm Agreement concerns all of Hodeidah, and it is an agreement approved by binding decisions of the Security Council, and therefore it is raised The talk about the status of the resistance forces on the western coast and their supporters is a conversation aimed at provoking crises and seeking to undermine the leadership of the Arab coalition, especially Saudi Arabia and the UAE, in proportion to the claim that the coalition has failed in Yemen, and thus calls for Turkish intervention.

Al-Ahmar's statements and the malicious goals of the Muslim Brotherhood

Muhammad Abu Khaled, a teacher displaced from the city of Taiz and currently working in a private school in Sana'a, comments on Al-Ahmar’s statements and what they included in linking the Taiz front with Marib and the status of the resistance forces on the West Coast by saying: I followed these statements on social media as they come in  A time when reformists frequently talk about the victories they are achieving in Taiz, as they say and claim that this is a kind of support for the Mareb front, and the truth is that all of this is just lies aimed at making Facebook victories as we are used to reformers over the past years.

Abu Khaled added to NewsYemen: I am one of the teachers who were displaced from the city of Taiz due to the war, after the resistance that was led by Hammoud Al-Mikhlafi started its battles to liberate Taiz, as it used to say, which ended with controlling some streets, displacing the population and disrupting life before those battles ended with the emergence of leaders who were sharing control in some neighborhoods and streets of Taiz is wreaking havoc, while the battles against the Houthi militia have completely stopped.

He continues: The Islahis’ conversations today about the Taiz front and achieving victories in it, including Hamid Al-Ahmar's statements, are nothing more than an attempt to repeat what the reformists are good at, which is speech and speech on social media, believing that by doing so, they will relieve pressure on Marib, while in fact they are practicing the same lies that they have repeated for years.

He concluded: As for Al-Ahmar's talk about the situation of the West Coast front, it is ridiculous because it is a blatant attempt to fish in troubled waters, as they say, and what I really fear is that the lies of the reformists today will negatively affect the steadfastness of the Marib front and that all of this will end with the fall of Marib in the hands of the Houthi militia Al-Jawf fell and insulted before it, and at that time the Brotherhood will not benefit, the legitimacy of lamenting, nor blaming others, whether they are anti-Houthis from the Yemenis or the coalition.
