An oil leak heralds an environmental catastrophe, amid the neglect of the Brotherhood authorities in Shabwa

The Rawda district in Shabwa governorate witnesses an oil leak in a pipeline in one of the oil sectors in the district.

Informed sources reported a large oil spill in the Rawda district in Shabwa governorate, specifically in the city of Rawda, in southern Yemen.

The sources said that large quantities of crude oil flooded a large area of land in the city of Rawda and Radoum due to the continued leakage of an oil pipeline about a month ago, amid neglect by the producing company, the oil office and the Brotherhood authority in the governorate.

Noting that the diversion process and the continued flow of oil to agricultural lands will cause a disaster for the people and farmers in particular, and the spread of deadly diseases in general.
