Shabwa Authority is taking new ways to collect money
English - Tuesday 06 April 2021 الساعة 05:37 pmThe Shabwa governorate authority, represented by the Governor Muhammad Saleh bin Adiou, took new methods to collect money.
Sources told "NewsYemen" that the general director of the oil company, Saleh Al-Kadim, appointed by Ibn Adiou, imposed taxes on oil derivatives, which led to their rise in the governorate.
The sources indicated that Al-Kadim, who is believed to be a member of the Islah party, imposed taxes of 35 riyals per liter of gasoline and diesel.
According to the sources, the money that the oil company collects from the fuel is distributed among the corrupt partners, including military and security leaders, as well as civilians, including the director general of the oil company.
Ibn Adiou dismissed Saleh Bafiyadh, the former director of the oil company in Shabwa, against the background of what he said was corruption for imposing a tax on each liter of fuel only 7 riyals, while he turned a blind eye to the director appointed by him who imposed 35 riyals on the liter.
The director of Shabwa Oil, Saleh Al-Kadim, was a leader in the revolution against the regime of the late President Ali Abdullah Saleh, in which slogans against corruption and injustice were raised. However, the "revolutionaries" are rich today, as a result of illegally making money.
Although the decision to appoint him was only a year passed, the man now owns luxury vehicles.
In the context, sources told "NewsYemen" that the directors of all Shabwa districts, appointed by Governor Bin Adiou, imposed taxes on store owners, under the pretext of "cleanliness."
The sources said that the general managers impose on the smallest store 3000 riyals a month, while they impose thirty thousand riyals on the shops and more, without actually having any cleaning.
