Washington calls on the Houthis to adhere to a permanent ceasefire in Yemen

The United States of America called on the Houthi group to adhere to a permanent and complete cease-fire in Yemen.

The US State Department, in a statement published on its account for Near Eastern Affairs, on Twitter, condemned the downing of a drone launched by the Houthis on a school in the Asir region, southern Saudi Arabia.

The US State Department said that attacks on civilians, including school children, with drones, harm the people.

It added "We join other countries in condemning the attack, and we call on the Houthis to adhere to a permanent ceasefire,".
