Aden, NewsYemen:

Abdul Malik Al-Mikhlafi, advisor to interim President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, said on Friday that the United States of America will enter a spiral of bringing the Houthi group to peace, considering that Washington's recognition of the group "will not solve the Yemeni problem."

Al-Mikhlafi said, on his Twitter page, that "recognizing Al-Houthi as a legitimate party does not advance or delay in describing his coup, which will remain illegal, and does not solve the Yemeni problem, but it satisfies the illusions of Al-Houthi and those who present it to the world."

And he considered that the American announcement would plunge the United States into a "vortex of the possibility of bringing al-Houthi to peace and abandoning the coup, which will quickly become an illusion."

He likened "the American recognition of Al-Houthi to the Yemeni components by canceling their classification as a terrorist group," adding, "Both positions were under the assumption that this would reduce their extremism and convince them of peace."

The advisor pointed out that "the problem is not the position of the Yemenis and the world towards Al-Houthi, but the problem is the position of Al-Houthi towards everyone."

He said, "What Al-Houthi wants is not to recognize him as a component or even as a partner in the homeland, but to recognize his coup and racist dominance over Yemen, which the Yemenis will not give him and he will not get from the world as long as the Yemeni people resist and reject this coup."

And he added, "Unfortunately, Al-Houthi does not understand offering incentives to accept peace. This pragmatic language with which (the American envoy to Yemen Timothy) Lenderking justified his statement is valid with a political group and not with a religious, ideological, terrorist, racist group that does not differ in premise and practice from ISIS, if not worse, and it will be revealed.  Those days are for those who haven't discovered yet.

Al-Mikhlafi stressed that legitimacy, political forces and the majority of Yemenis are always with peace, and that Al-Houthi is the one who chose the coup and war, and we should not worry about any position that thinks that it will provide incentives to Al-Houthi to bring him to peace.

He continued, "If this position succeeds, despite the experience that makes it impossible, the peace we seek will be achieved, and if the opposite is proven, efforts will be strengthened to impose peace."

On Thursday, the US special envoy to Yemen, Timothy Lenderking, said that Washington recognized the Houthis "as a legitimate party and we recognize them as a group that has been able to achieve major gains," adding, "Let's deal with the reality on the ground."
