Aden, NewsYemen:

The Southern Academic Dr.Abdullah Al-Ghaithi, that what is happening in Marib is the Houthis’ betrayal of the Islah party, which tactically withdrew its forces to the south to hand over Marib to Iranian militias.

Al-Ghaithi said, in a tweet, that the Houthis are failing the Islah party in Marib, noting that Islah withdrew its fighters from Marib to Shabwa, Abyan and Hadhramaut al-Wadi, believing that Marib will fall into the hands of the Houthis within a few weeks, and therefore their decision to withdraw from Marib is a wise tactical decision, stressing that Marib did not fall, but reform fell in Marib.

He added that the fall of Marib exempts legitimacy from implementing the military aspect of the Riyadh Agreement regarding the withdrawal of the "legitimate" northern forces from the southern governorates "Shabwa, Hadhramaut Al-Wadi, and Abyan" to the fronts of fighting with Al-Houthi.

The southern academic stressed that this is the hope of legitimacy that it has been waiting for for a while to get it out of the Riyadh agreement.

Al-Ghaithi believes that the military aspect will be postponed until President Hadi returns from the United States of America.

He pointed out that Hadi's departure frees legitimacy from the pressures of implementing the military aspect of the Riyadh Agreement
