Al Bayda, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

In the form of a fighter carrying his personal weapon on his shoulder, the prominent Houthi leader, Muhammad Al-Bakhiti, appeared in a picture of him, excited by the ability of his group's militias to reach the Habj area in the Al-Zaher district in Al-Bayda.

Al-Bakhiti stood ecstatic about the arrival of his militia to areas that they had never dreamed of reaching. For them  Al-Zaher was Jerusalem, and the Humaiqan resistance was a thorn in the throat of the Houthis to reach them, says Amer Al-Humayqani, a spokesman for the Humiqan resistance in an indirect comment on Al-Bakhiti’s photo.

Amer says: "A Houthi leader did not dare to visit Al-Bayda in the presence of the resistance of the Hamiqan family, and after the fall of Al-Zahir, the areas collapsed and the Houthi leaders began to leave and have fun. The day before yesterday (Wednesday) Al-Bakhiti and today (Thursday) Abu Ali Al-Hakem in Al-Bayda."

Al-Bakhiti's image reflected the extent of his group's ecstasy with the victory they achieved at the expense of the resistance of the Humaiqan family and the Giants forces in the battles that erupted between the two sides at the beginning of this month, in the Al-Zaher district.

After the directorate was completely liberated at the hands of the giants and the Hamiqan family, before the situation quickly relapsed, the directorate fell into the hands of the Houthi militia and reached the Yafa border, which is described as the heart of the south, and it fought with its tribes and the forces of the Transitional Council, yesterday, Friday, confrontations with the militia, in a scene he did not expect.  No one since the beginning of the war.

At the time when the Houthi militia was waging its first confrontations on the borders of Yafa, its members were approaching a southern border no less dangerous than Yafa, which is Bayhan Shabwa, which is now in danger of the Houthi militia reaching it after it approached control of the “strategic Aqaba Al-Qundu” separating it from the city of Numan district in Al-Bayda.

The arrival of the Houthi militia on the Aqaba al-Qundu represented a sudden scene, such as the scene that took place in Al-Zaher.

Its arrival there came after a sudden collapse of the fronts and positions of the Legitimacy Army in both the districts of Numan and Nata’ and their fall completely in the hands of the Houthi militia, which has almost completely controlled the province of Al-Bayda, with the exception of the Walled District and parts of the Directorate of Al-Sawmaa.

This dramatic transformation of the scene in Al-Bayda in favor of the Houthi militia, and in less than a month, prompted Al-Bakhiti to address his group’s followers in a tweet to him on “Twitter” by saying that they will soon enter “a new stage, which is the stage of the collapse of the ranks of the aggression countries and their mercenaries,” calling on them to “mobilize.”  For the fronts to resolve the battle in the fastest time and with the least losses."

Al-Bakhiti, in his tweet, explained the progress made by his militia in Al-Bayda as referring to an “equation that has become clear.” He said: “Whenever the aggression rises in a front, it loses it and loses beyond, starting with Hajjour and ending with Al-Zaher.”

The Houthi leader reminds the story of the most prominent crime of betrayal committed by the legitimacy and the Brotherhood, which controls its decision, against the resistance of the Hajour tribes in January 2019, which was considered a turning point in the war, and revealed the extent of the weakness of the Houthi group and confirmed the fact that its strength comes from the absurdity with which legitimacy manages the war against it.

The confrontations with the Hajour tribes represented a major scandal for both the Houthis and the legitimacy. For more than 60 days, the Houthi militias were unable to resolve them despite the large difference in armament and manpower between the two parties and the absence of any supply lines for the Hajour tribes, which is the point that finally settled the battle in favor of the Houthi militias.

As for the legitimacy scandal, it was embodied in the failure of the Hajour resistance in more than one way, as its affiliated forces remained on the fronts of Haradh and Midi, watching without moving, less than 25 km from Hajour.  and Dhalea.

The confrontations also came one month after the legitimacy of the success of the Hodeidah battles with the Sweden agreement, which restricted the forces of the West Coast from moving the front to relieve the pressure on Hajour, so that the stagnation of the fronts would enable the Houthi militias to free themselves and eliminate the resistance of Hajour, and then return later to these stopped fronts, as happened in Al-Bayada for the past few days.

The scene of Hajour’s betrayal of the Brotherhood’s legitimacy was not the first nor was it the last. The same scene was repeated two years ago, specifically in February 2017, in the darkness of Dhamar, to which the Houthi militia returned to avenge its first defeat against its tribes in August 2015. The same scene was repeated two years later, specifically in January  2021, with the uprising of the isolation of al-Hima in the Directorate of Condolence, in the face of the Houthi militia.

All of them, along with what happened in Al-Zaher, are repeated scenes of the tribes trying to rise up against the Houthi militias. They are being let down by the legitimacy, not only by not supporting them, but by deliberately stopping their fronts so that the Houthis can devote themselves to them.
