Marib, NewsYemen, Private:

Military sources confirmed, on Thursday, that the Iranian-backed Houthi militia suffered heavy losses among its members, which were described as horrific and genocide, after being targeted by fighters of the Arab coalition to support legitimacy on the fronts of four governorates.

Combat operations escalated on the fronts of the southern and western Ma’rib governorate, in conjunction with the launch of a series of raids, which targeted militia sites and reinforcements alongside Marib, the al-Jawf, Saada and al-Bayda fronts.

The sources stated that violent battles were witnessed on the al-Kasara, al-Mushajah, al-Mukhdara fronts and the outskirts of Hailan in western Ma’rib, and others on the al-Mushayrif fronts and the vicinity of Jabal al-Abzakh in the Rahba district in the south of the governorate, which left many dead and wounded among the Houthis, as a result of the coalition’s fighters surprising their positions and reinforcements with a series of focused raids.

The coalition fighters had targeted militia sites and reinforcements in the Al-Dhahra area in Al-Jawf governorate, others in the Al-Zaher district in the Saada governorate, and in Aqabat Al-Qana`a in the Numan district in the Al-Bayda governorate, leaving Houthi dead and wounded, and destroying many of their combat vehicles.

The militias are trying to regain the areas they lost recently, such as Mount Malbouda in Ksara, Marib, and Jabal Al-Abzakh in Rahba, and are trying to advance towards Beihan Shabwa from the Numan Al-Bayda side, as well as trying to restore the Khanjar camp in Al-Jawf, and the road linking Hajjah and Saada from the Al-Malahiz side, apparently.  Dozens of tribesmen came forward for this, as the observer is surprised by the size of the losses presented in battles described as losing, especially as they have been taking place in the same locations and areas for more than a year, without achieving any significant progress.
