Masam removes nearly 2,000 mines in different Yemeni governorates

During the second week of August 2021, the Masam project managed to extract 1,882 mines, which varied between 8 anti-personnel mines, 1,469 anti-tank mines, 403 unexploded ordnance, and two explosive charges.

In Aden governorate, 12 anti-tank mines were removed, and in the Khub Al Sha’af district of Al-Jawf governorate, 1,302 anti-tank mines, two unexploded munitions and two explosive devices were removed.


 In the Qataba district of Al-Dhalea governorate, 5 anti-tank mines were removed, in addition to 9 anti-tank mines and 6 unexploded ordnance in the Al-Khoukha district in the Hodeidah governorate, and in the Al-Mudaraba district in the Lahj governorate, the “Masam” team managed to clear 9 anti-tank mines, in addition to two anti-tank mines. and 69 unexploded ordnance in Al-Musaimir district in the same governorate.

In the Al Rahba district of the Marib governorate, 10 anti-tank mines and one unexploded ordnance were removed. The Masam team in Shabwa governorate succeeded in removing 9 anti-tank mines and 158 unexploded ordnance in the Ataq district, and in the Bihan district, one anti-tank mine was removed, and in the Usaylan district the team managed Who cleared 13 anti-tank mines.

In Taiz governorate, the team managed to clear 8 anti-tank mines in Al-Wazi’iyah district, while it cleared 13 anti-tank mines and 4 unexploded ordnance in Mocha district, in addition to clearing 4 anti-personnel mines, 29 anti-tank mines and 160 unexploded ordnance in Mowza district, in addition to Clearing 4 anti-personnel mines, 47 anti-tank mines and 3 unexploded ordnance in Dhu Bab district.
