Marib, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

Today, the fighters of the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia launched a massive attack on the sites, targets and reinforcements of the Iranian-backed Houthi militias in Marib and Al-Jawf, in response to the Houthi attack with a booby-trapped drone on the Khamis Mushait area in the south of the Kingdom, late yesterday.

Field and local sources in Marib stated that the coalition warplanes launched a series of intensive raids on Houthi targets and sites in the districts of Serwah, Madghal and Majzar, which led to the destruction of a weapons depot in the airport hill in the Serwah district, and a number of Houthi combat mechanisms in the Al-Kasara and Al-Mashjah areas.

The sources confirmed the destruction of tanks, combat vehicles, vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunition, and others carrying armed elements that were on their way from Khawlan Sanaa towards Serwah, leaving dead and wounded Houthis, including a prominent leader.

In Al-Jawf, the coalition fighters destroyed Houthi reinforcements, after leaving the city of Al-Hazm, the provincial capital, towards the Al-Alam area, adjacent to the Marib governorate, while similar Houthi reinforcements continued to the fronts of "Wadi Dhanna and Al-Jadaan" in the outskirts of the capital, Sana'a.

In addition, field sources said that the artillery of the army and tribes destroyed militia reinforcements in the vicinity of "Al-Jamajim and Al-Tala'a Al-Hamra", in the Serwah district, west of the governorate, and they were trying to station themselves in new sites, in the context of the Houthis' readiness to launch a large-scale attack towards the city of Marib.

The coalition's extensive operation against militia targets came in response to the latter's launch of a booby-trapped drone towards the Khamis Mushait area in southern Saudi Arabia. A statement by the Arab coalition said it had been intercepted and destroyed.

In its statement, the coalition stated that a "booby-trapped" drone was intercepted and destroyed by the Houthi militia towards the Khamis Mushait area in southern Saudi Arabia, as part of the militias' continued targeting of civilians and civilian objects, stressing that operational measures were taken to protect civilians and civilian objects from hostile attempts.
