Aden, NewsYemen:

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, President of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, confirmed that "the south is fighting on more than one front, most notably the Houthi threats, al-Qaeda and ISIS, in addition to the war of services practiced by parties controlling the legitimacy decision."

This came when he received Mr. Senyu Newton Kumla, Senior Security and Safety Adviser at the United Nations.

Major General Ibn Brik said that the Southern Transitional Council is looking forward to strengthening its partnership with the organization in all fields, foremost of which is combating terrorism, and supporting stability and security in the south, Yemen and the region.

Bin Brik stressed that the Southern Transitional Council accepted participation in the government to alleviate the suffering of the citizen, noting that the Council is striving to achieve the aspirations of the people of the south.

He pointed out that "the Brotherhood's wing that controls legitimacy is working in another direction that harms this partnership, which leads to widening the gap between the aspirations hoped for improving the living life of the citizen and the living reality."

The southern leader stressed that the south is fighting on several fronts, foremost of which are the daily threats of the Houthi militia, al-Qaeda and ISIS, in addition to confronting the daily war of services being practiced against the people through mismanagement of the state.

Major General Ibn Brik reiterated that the Southern Transitional Council extends its hands for peace and to achieve security and stability in this strategic region.

For his part, Mr. Senew Newton stressed that this visit is an affirmation of the fruitful cooperation between the Southern Transitional Council and international organizations operating in Yemen in general.
