Sana'a, NewsYemen, private:

Yahya al-Houthi, brother of the militia leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi, admitted his group blackmailed international humanitarian organizations working in Yemen, and denied entry to humanitarian aid, claiming it was damaged.

Al-Houthi confirmed, in a session of the Sana’a Parliament, in the presence of the ministers of the militia government, which is not recognized, that the so-called “Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Council” prevents the entry of humanitarian aid into Yemen on the grounds that it is damaged despite its validity.

Yahya al-Houthi said that the council "blackmails humanitarian organizations financially and directs the media against them."

He explained that this militia entity, run by the Houthi leader Ahmed Hamid, appointed to the position of director of the presidential office, "banned the entry of 109,000 bags of legumes on the pretext that they were damaged, although the Standards Authority confirmed that it was not aware of this issue."

While he stressed that the bulk of state revenues in the group's control areas do not go to the central bank in Sana'a.

Yahya al-Houthi said that the Salvation Government - in which he holds the position of Minister of Education - does not govern, and that ministers cannot perform their duties.

He admitted major corruption operations in customs in the group's controlled areas, and said that he had a report revealing customs corruption, noting that he "paid a bribe to (intelligence) to obtain the report."

In the context, a parliamentary source told NewsYemen that the Speaker of the House of Representatives under the control of the Houthis in Sanaa, Yahya al-Ra’i, ignored the demand of some members to empower the parliament’s committees or form committees to verify and verify what Yahya Badr al-Din al-Houthi reported regarding corruption operations, noting that the minutes of the parliament meeting called them problems without mentioning any of them.

The source confirmed that the report did not address what was mentioned by the brother of the Houthi leader, and withheld all the corruption and issues he presented in the parliament hall in the presence of the government.
