Shabwa, NewsYemen:

A military source in the government forces said that Muhammad Saleh bin Adiyo, the governor of Shabwa, loyal to the Islah party - the local branch of the Brotherhood - coordinated with military leaders affiliated with legitimacy in the Al-Bayda and Shabwa axes, to prevent any military assistance to the Murad tribes in Marib.

For weeks, the "Murad" tribes have been fighting violent battles against the Houthi militia, amid an applied siege imposed by the latter on the Abdiya district, south of Marib.

The source said, in a statement to "NewsYmen", that Ibn Adiyo contacted military leaders of his group, in the axes of Shabwa and Al-Bayda, to prevent the provision of assistance to the Murad tribes that are fighting on the fronts of "Al-Juba, Al-Abdiya and Jabal Murad" south of Marib, as part of a prior agreement between  The governor and the Houthis in this regard.

He pointed out that the Brotherhood harbors hostility to the "Murad" tribes, since the confrontations of the "Fajih family and Bani Seif", where the Islah party is working to bring down and discipline those areas in cooperation and coordination with the Houthi militia.

The source confirmed that the Houthi militia paid two billion riyals to the Brotherhood leaders in Shabwa, in exchange for opening the door for their members to pass from the Al-Bayda axis through the districts affiliated with Shabwa to impose the siege on the "Murad tribes" and reach the oil sources in the Marib governorate.

It is noteworthy that the Houthi militia seized, last month, 3 districts in Shabwa Governorate (southeast of Yemen) without a fight, as the forces loyal to the Muslim Brotherhood withdrew, before the Houthis reached Bayhan.
