Aden, NewsYemen, special:

The capital, Aden, witnessed successive events, in the past few days, in which its perpetrators tried to show the city as terrifying and unsafe to thwart the return of the government, following news of preparations for its return.

The war against Aden began with the unified media campaign of the Brotherhood and Houthi media against the city, and to stir up chaos and incite against its leadership, taking advantage of the currency collapse, the electricity fuel crisis and the absence of services.  The compass was heading towards Aden and the scheme aimed at its leadership.

Demonstrations took place in Aden with continuous media coverage by the Brotherhood and Houthi channels, and the city witnessed chaos, road blockage, deliberate sabotage, targeting of security headquarters and chanting slogans away from the collapse of services, which indicates that the demonstrations were directed against a political party, and the citizen and his rights have none of that.

After calm returned to the city and the demonstrations stopped and roads were cut off, the Transitional Council continued to call on the government to return and pressure the coalition to return it to carry out its work in the service of the citizens. On the twenty-eighth of last September, Dr. Mueen Abdul Malik, Prime Minister and a number of his ministers returned to Aden.

The return of the government was promising with a glimmer of hope to rectify what can be realized in light of the great collapse of the currency and the suspension of salaries, but his return, which witnessed a fierce media campaign by the Brotherhood and group activists, was subjected to attempts to fail in various ways.

At the dawn of the second of October, clashes erupted in the city of Crater, where the Ma’asheq Palace is the seat of the government, between the security forces and outlaw gunmen who tried to thwart the government’s presence and make the city turbulent so that international missions would not come. All of these events primarily serve the Houthi group and are implemented by the Brotherhood in  The framework of coordination between the two groups that has recently appeared in the open in many areas.

The tragic events of Crater ended with the establishment of security in the city and the escape of the outlaw elements, and the government blessed the victories and confirmed its support for the security services, which was denounced by the Brotherhood's sedition forces when it accused the prime minister of working with the transitional after his statement about the Crater events.

The visit of the UN envoy Hans Grundberg to Aden and his meeting with the government and the leadership of the Transitional Council was a painful blow to the enemies of Aden, and all the Houthi and Brotherhood media and activists of the two groups, who are opposed to the government’s presence and uniting efforts with the transitional to provide services to citizens and face military challenges.

Prior to the recent bombings in Aden, which targeted Governor Ahmed Lamlas and Minister of Agriculture Salem al-Saqtri, the city was subjected to media incitement and threats to target security in the city, most notably the appearance of the jihadist figure and member of the Islah Party, "Muhammad Ali Othman" in a video threatening to target the security services in Aden Governorate.

Othman, who was an imam and preacher for a mosque in Aden years ago and is known to be affiliated with Islah, spoke according to sources from Ataq, the capital of Shabwa governorate, where he resides, and threatened operations targeting security in Aden.

Othman said, in a video clip spread on social media, that he had prepared a plan to target security in Aden and would send it to the groups there.

Lamlas and Al Socotra were targeted by a car bomb that was next to a kindergarten on the main street in the Tawahi district, on Sunday morning.

The governor's media secretary, the commander of his guard and a number of his companions were killed and wounded in the explosion.

Pictures published by activists showed the car that the extremist elements booby-trapped and cut off from the large amount of explosives that were placed inside it.

And the perpetrators of the operation wanted to show the city as unsafe and to send a message to the government to leave under the pretext of security failure and targeting officials.

In its meeting on Sunday, the Transitional Council stressed that the terrorist elements who carried out the operation will not escape punishment.

The STC directed the security forces to permanently activate their performance to confront the criminal elements that are pushing by hostile parties to disturb the general tranquility of the capital, Aden, and obstruct the return of the government and thwart the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, according to the statement of the meeting.

The official spokesman of the Transitional Council, "Ali Al-Kathiri", had said in the council's statement about the operation, that it is only a result of the safe haven provided by the Muslim Brotherhood to terrorist groups under its umbrella, serving the Houthi militias to facilitate their recruitment to the liberated areas, which was evident by their obstruction to the implementation of the agreement.  Riyadh and their unjustified evasion of it.
