The Yemeni Presidential Council stresses the obligation of the Houthis to open roads after extending the armistice

 On Thursday, the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed the legitimacy of the government's keenness to support all endeavors to make the efforts of the United Nations envoy succeed in extending the humanitarian truce, stressing the obligation of the Houthi militia to fulfill its commitments related to opening the Taiz crossings, and paying the salaries of employees from the revenues of oil derivative ships arriving at the ports of Hodeidah.

This came during a meeting held by the Council with the participation of all members, to discuss the developments and the results of the great diplomatic movement taking place in the capital, Aden, regarding the humanitarian truce and its renewal, in addition to reforms in the Yemeni Airlines Company.

The Council heard from Al-Alimi a report on the results of the meetings with the UN and American envoys and the ambassadors of the United States and the European Union, during which the Leadership Council affirmed its firm position on the terms and requirements for extending the armistice and creating the conditions for achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the country.

The meeting affirmed the council's and the legitimate government's keenness to support all endeavors to make the efforts of the United Nations envoy a success with regard to extending the armistice, obligating the Houthi militia to fulfill its commitments related to opening the Taiz crossings, and paying the salaries of employees from the revenues of oil derivatives ships arriving at the ports of Hodeidah.
