The terrorist Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, forced the Central Bank of Yemen under its control in Sana'a, to legitimize one of its crimes against merchants and private sector affiliates in its areas of control.
On Sunday, the Houthi militia killed the owner of an exchange shop in Sana'a, "Saddam Atifa", in front of his family, after they clashed with him next to his shop, which they tried to close by force, then dumped his body in the street.
Today, Sabanet, in its Houthi version, published a statement by an official source in the Central Bank, in which he spoke about a meeting of the leaders of the bank under its control and the head of its Security and Intelligence Service, Abdul Hakim Al-Khaiwani, in the presence of the Money Changers Association, against the backdrop of this incident.
According to the news, the bank's leadership offered condolences to the head of the security apparatus for the killing of two of its members during the confrontations, which it claimed were commissioned and coordinated by the Public Funds Prosecution to track down national currency manipulators and those practicing the exchange profession without a license.
The source said that the bank and the association thanked the agency for its relentless and continuous efforts by commissioning and coordinating with the Public Funds Prosecution to preserve the national economy and the stability of the national currency. Before calling on everyone to feel responsible and to join all efforts for the common good and to confront hostile plans in various fields, as he claimed.

The involvement of the Houthi militia in the Central Bank to legitimize such a heinous crime confirms its lack of independence and that it has become one of the tools of Iran's arm to strike at its opponents and those who reject its policies in the private sector, which it completed after imposing a new leadership for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry from the new merchants loyal to it instead of the previous elected leadership.
